Learn about Saudi water efficiency label
As of January 1, 2018, the Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SASO) has implemented new water conservation regulations and SASO Water Conservation Labelling Scheme based on water conservation rates for faucets, showers, and toilets.

Manufacturers, importers, exporters, and freight forwarders are now obliged to label their products in accordance with the SASO Water Efficiency Labeling Scheme prior to shipment to ensure shipments can clear customs and enter the Saudi market.

There are a few more issues to be aware of with Saudi Arabia’s water efficiency label. For example, bathroom cabinets are not included in water efficiency certification, but many customers have added vanities and faucets to their bathroom cabinets. As such, the faucet must be certified for water efficiency. Otherwise the bathroom cabinet will have to remove the faucet. We have encountered such clients. According to the importer, the bathroom cabinets do not require saber certification, and the goods are shipped directly. Therefore, after arriving at the port, the customs does not allow the delivery of the goods, that is, the faucet has no water efficiency certification.
